Filming in Granada, Spain.

At the end of March, I was lucky enough to go to Granada, Spain, with a friend of mine who is a Media degree student. I've done makeup and acted in lots of her previous projects and someone dropped out suddenly so she asked me if I'd like to go along and do the makeup and play a small part in it. Of course, I jumped at the chance!

We left for the airport at about 3am and got to Granada in the early afternoon.

View from our balcony.
The first day we got to just wonder around, find somewhere to eat, get settled. We actually got caught in a hail storm while going to the shop which was not what I was expecting in the south of Spain. The weather didn't improve that much for the rest of the week, though the hail did hold off. For the next few days, we started the day between 6am and 8am, which would have been a whole lot easier if it wasn't absolutely freezing and I'd packed for weather colder than England!

These are a few photos from filming. The top right was one of the last days where we actually started getting some sun. I really enjoyed working on a film set, it's something I've only done a few times before and actually being in another country for it was such a good experience. I learned a lot about how filming works, both in the planning stages and actually going out there and being a part of it.

We spent some time at the religious festival, it was crazy how busy it was!

View of the Alhambra one morning. It was such a nice view that made the super early mornings more bearable.

One of the photography galleries in Granada that we stopped by one evening.
